The story of a young woman in varsity

Two days ago a few students from TUT Soshanguve campuses held their own mini young women empowerment session. This is where they all spoke about things they have to deal with as young women in varsity. One of these future female leaders spoke about how she had to struggle balancing between her academics being a mom, "a single teenage mom for that matter".Apperently, this was last year when she was doing her first year in varsity. She had to go home many times in a month, which cost R400 a return trip. She couldn't spending a lomger time without her baby. Worst she sometimes had to share monthly living allowance with her kid. All of these made her lose focus on her academics, she ended up thinking of droping out! Either way, education seemed like the only option to help create a better life for her and her kid so she just had to push till she could adjust. Happy Women's Month❤ Kindly leave a comment for more content .
